The mind set of anyone is one of the most important tools in achieving success in life – be it a long time dream or goal. The mind which is a part of the brain is the central control unit (CCU) of the body. Just like in computers, automobiles and every other automated device, the central control unit is responsible for the proper functioning of the entire system. If there is a fault in the CCU, it affects the working functionality of every other part either directly or indirectly; likewise in humans.
There is a clear connection between the way your brain thinks and the way your body feels. Simply changing the way you think and taking charge of what occupies your mind, can improve your well-being and chances of success. Positive thinking and a healthy mindset is a key component to achieving ones goal in life.
The mind controls the ability to think, imagine, plan and even your determination capabilities. The downfall and success of a man lies in his mindset; with a positive mind you can go through difficult times without breaking a sweat. Failure in life begins from the mind, the moment you have that doubt in yourself, your mind starts playing tricks on you and at that point you begin to lose power over your will, the ability to focus and the enthusiasm to push further.
Most inventions by great people of this world, is as a result of an active and sharp working mind. Inventions don’t just appear from nowhere, these things are invented by people who think deep and wide – for this you need your mind free from any form of negativity. We hear successful people talk about their success, with “determination” as the key factor in achieving success. Determination is at the center of every achievement; when you talk about the subject “success and achievements,” determination is somewhat lying in-between. What is responsible for this so much talked about determination? The mindset of course, there are times when you become physically weak and jaded with no strength to keep going, determination from a strong and positive mindset will make you keep on pushing until you achieve your goal.
In sports for instance, the greatest athletes are those with un-parallel imaginary capabilities. Let’s use golf as a case study. Golf as we all know, is not a physical sport – it deals with mostly the hands and the mind. In golf your goal is to put the ball into the hole, where physical strength and ability counts for nothing. When playing golf, the golfer takes his stances, looks at the hole and with a clear mind takes his shot – with the emphasis on “clear mindset”.  Once upon a time, Tiger Woods was the very sensation in the world of golf until his dramatic divorce fiasco with his then wife Elin Nordegren. With all the drama and commotion messing with his mind; he got distracted and lost focus, hence, faded away to be heard of.
Even in our everyday life, we need our mind clear and sharp. Activities we do requires a sound mind – driving, walking along the road, crossing a busy road, etc. come to think of it, there is no activity that doesn’t require us using our minds. A positive mindset is the first step to achieving success, when you are positive mentally; it builds your confidence level in facing challenges and obstacles. Failing to achieve success starts from the mind, when you begin to doubt yourself. Clear out these doubts, if need be, re-strategize until you finally get It right.
