our friends reflect our personality
Friendship is a relationship binding two or more people with
similar interests, ideas and thoughts. We make friends just to fit into
society. When we were younger, we were most likely warned by our parents to be
mindful of the type of company we keep. They said this in reference to the way
society would judge us in accordance to our friends, in addition to the influence
they would have upon us. There is a popular saying; “birds of the same feather
flocks together,” meaning the friends we keep reflects our personality. Our
personalities are molded by different situations and associations such as
parents, friends and colleagues. The image portrayed by these associations
gradually rubs off on us, resulting in some little similarities between us and
the people we associate with.
